The run-up to tonight’s drawing marks the first time in Powerball game history that back-to-back jackpot cycles have generated billion-dollar grand prizes. The estimated jackpot is Powerball’s largest prize so far this year, just ahead of the $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot won in California on July 19. The jackpot has a cash value of $551.7 million.
